LOTR turned Musical

My first live Theater Musical...The Lord of The Rings...best thing is, we got an upgrade on our seats because we came early to pick up the tickets

Since LOTR is one of my fav fantasy stories, I would like to say that it's a great play, amazing even...lived up to the book and movie
sadly it does not

Awesome Backdrop eh?

In terms of the backdrop, costumes, props and effects it is amazing but i just don't like the acting...it feels like an AvenueQ-like play only with stunning Middle Earth props
Though the singing voices are great, it's too pitchy not mystical and magical that it is supposed to be

Anyways, the Hobbits really stole the show
We were told that if we went in 15 ,minutes earlier, we'd get to see the Hobbits of Shire walking around and playing around the audiences.
Sgt comel! They were trying their best to catch some fireflies (small lights on threads), even if they have to step on our seats to do it...unfortunately we cant snap any pictures
Loved the Hobbitses. with they cheering and whooping and their hairy feet

Funny thing, Boromir is far more good looking than Legolas and Aragon...Aragon has this pitchy not-even-the-slightest-bit macho voice...yeech! x kene lansung

Gandalf talks his lines waaay to fast...all in one breather i think... like he is racing to finish his dialog before the others could remember their next line
Another thing, what's with the elven ladies talking with useless hand gestures constantly? tangan gerak2 atas kanan kiri bawah sambil ckp ... mat saleh nak buat macam lemah lembut?...x jadii
Haha

All in all
Rugi duit, but
It's ok for a first time thing
Just my opinion... ( '.' )
